We believe that uniform is an important part of school life and that it plays a key role in:
• Promoting the ethos of our school
• Providing a sense of belonging and identity
• Setting an appropriate tone for education
We are also very aware that children grow quickly, and uniform can prove to be costly, so we have developed a range of options which should provide a suitable alternative for each family.
 
What is our School Uniform?
• Black, Purple or Royal Blue Sweatshirt, with or without Moorside logo
• White polo shirt or shirt
• Grey or black trousers/shorts/skirts
• Black shoes

For  PE
• White t-shirt with or without Moorside logo
• Blue shorts
• Blue jogging pant
• Plain training shoes

P.E. Kits are provided free of charge when a child first joins the school. This includes a branded white t-shirt, blue shorts, blue jogging pants and a PE kit bag. Children will also receive a free book bag.
Replacement items can be purchased from the school office.

Costs and How to Order

Please label all uniform items with your child's name. This makes it much easier for us to return lost items to their owners.

Non-Branded Alternatives
Branded items (jumpers, PE t shirt and book/PE bags with the school logo) can be purchased directly from the school office (cash payments only). All other items can be purchased from any retailer, if they meet the colour and style requirements set out above.

Second Hand Uniform
We hold regular second-hand uniform sales throughout the year. Dates are advertised in our newsletter. If you have uniform in good condition that your child has outgrown, please donate it to the school office. All donations are gratefully received.

Jewellery and accessories
No jewellery, except for a watch, is allowed.
